For the curious plant people
A few fun facts while you’re here
1
They still need sunlight
Carnivorous plants still photosynthesize. The insects they catch give them extra nutrients that are hard to find in poor bog soil.
2
Flytraps can count...sort of
A Venus flytrap needs two quick touches before it snaps shut. It’s a clever way to avoid wasting energy on false alarms.
3
Not every trap snaps
Pitcher plants use slippery pitfall traps, while sundews catch insects with sticky tentacles.
Like the word search?
Meet the tees.
Both of these carnivorous plant designs inspired this little Sunday Funday freebie.
